If Jordan is 100/100 I'd say Hakeem is a 98/100. He's close to being the GOAT. If not for Jordan he would have had more rings. I don't agree that he only got those rings due to Jordan's absence. He would probably have beaten Jordan during 94/95.

Hakeem is clearly the greatest center post Kareem IMHO. People say shaq but I this Hakeem was still better. Clearly the best 2 way center in the history of the league, had the most refined post game of any player I've ever seen, and yet finished his career with 4000+ blocks, more than any other player. His skill and BBIQ was unmatched. Furthermore, when Shaq and Hakeem went head to head in the finals, Hakeem totally embarrased him. Such an underrated legend, and is in my opinion the 2nd. greatest center to ever play behind Kareem.

Hakeem has such a timeless game. Honestly, he, more than any other center or big man in the past, is the best example of the player you could just drop into today's game to single-handedly end teams like the Warriors, Rockets, basically any team going small, because of how fast and skilled he was. I don't think there will ever be an era where a Hakeem player would struggle, but the issue is that the footwork and grace it takes to be like Hakeem is so difficult.

Honestly, Hakeem in the post is the one thing that always awes me. It's just ridiculous to watch. There are 0 post-ups that look impressive after you watch a compilation of Dream Shakes.

He might even be scarier in this era - he would have developed an even better jump shot (he was ahead of the game on that already), and had less competition inside. And I would never really be scared if he got switched onto a guard- he had all the speed and length he needed to play defense on smaller players.
